It was at Lava Cap Winery in Placerville where Jennifer and David Duffield vowed to love one another for life. Jennifer, the happy-go-lucky, smiling bride wore a sweetheart strapless gown that went from fitted on top to flowy on bottom, with loads of fluffy ruffles cascading to the floor. She carried a hand-tied gardeny cluster of sweet peas, lisianthus, lavender and white roses sprinkled with fiddlehead fern for a contemporary touch.

David, the more quiet, laid back groom, sported a  rose and fiddlehead fern boutonnière. Although these two are admitted opposites, (he’s an introvert, she’s an extrovert), their love drew them to marry this sunny day overlooking the vineyards at Lava Cap Winery.

Cocktail hour followed the ceremony, with guests enjoying wine and a selection of homebrews created the brides brother. The homebrews included ‘Til Death Do Us Part Double IPA and Kiss the Bride Kolsch. Then dinner was served by Gaston Catering of Folsom, featuring entrees such as pork loin and brie-stuffed chicken. Galvanized tins held gardeny arrangements to decorate some tables, while  ball Jars filled with garden flowers like Dahlias, roses and lisianthus topped others.

Later, as the reception got underway, the couple was serenaded by three male friends wearing pink taffeta dresses and feather boas. The song and dress up routine was in honor of the brides best friend, Scott Burke, who had died before he could be in her wedding. She had jokingly told him he would have to wear a taffeta dress and a father boa.

Then, DJ JoJo fired up the tunes and guests and the bridal party hit the dance floor to celebrate. D’Agostini’s Delights created the decadent wedding cake.  Both memorable and full of sentimental touches, this wedding not only tugged at the heartstrings, but also was full of laughter and fun! Photographer Mona Brooks of San Francisco captured every moment of this awesome day!
