Pineapple centerpieces, dendrobium orchids and leis created a truly Hawaiian atmosphere at Jenelle and Dustin Dockery’s wedding at David Girard Vineyards. The bride’s wish definitely came true—her Hawaiian heritage shined at this fun celebration! Tropical meets elegant garden, Jenelle chose to carry a bouquet of creamy ivory and lavender dendrobium orchids, gardenias, fragrant roses with a touch of purple sweet peas.

Wedding colors of purple, white, lavender and deep magenta were striking choices. The guys wore dendrobium orchid boutonnieres and the girls carried hand-tied bouquets of orchids, roses, peonies and sweet peas in magenta, lavender and purple. Plus, 13 bridesmaids and 13 groomsmen created one of the biggest, most colorful bridal parties!

At the reception, pineapples and orchids adorned tables and hula dancers entertained. And later, the house rocked when a live Chicago tribute band played throughout the night. Beth Sogaard Catering & Vintage Market made the yummy food and Sierra Rizing Bakery designed the delectable cake. And Jennifer Dunham of Memory Journalists took all the photos to commemorate this beautiful day for Janelle and Dustin. Aloha! We loved being part of this Hawaiian-inspired wedding!

Kasey and Paul Cardinale marry at Holy Trinity in El Dorado Hills, June 18, 2011

Kasey and Paul’s wedding at Holy Trinity Church in El Dorado Hills, was amazing. This beautiful bride and handsome groom exchanged vows during a Catholic mass ceremony full of tradition, yet sprinkled with the couple’s personality. Wearing a storybook gown and carrying a bouquet of orchids, roses and sweet peas, the bride looked as though she walked straight out of a fairy tale. At both ends of the altar, soft roses hung from potted trees made of curly willow, while swags of snapdragons, roses, bear grass and cosmos decorated each pew.

Following the ceremony, friends and family gathered at the sprawling Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills to celebrate Paul and Casey. As with the wedding, the reception was elegant and magical. Each table held different floral arrangements, some with orchids, tulips or hydrangeas enclosed in glass with candles floating on top. Others were gardeny, spring flower assortments that cascaded from atop glass vases filled with flowers.

Guests enjoyed yummy hors d’ ouvres and a sit-down dinner compliments of Serrano Country Club before Matt Brys of Extreme Productions took the party up a notch, spinning tunes as only this DJ can. When it came time to cut the cake, baked by Jayne Marie, it was too beautiful to eat! And of course, Chris Shepard was on hand to take photos of this beautiful day from start to finish.

We enjoyed this wedding SO much! The mother of the bride went above and beyond to make her daughter’s special day one to always remember. From bottles of water labeled with the bride and groom’s names to special bars of decadent chocolate, she made sure every guest felt special and welcome. She made us feel very special too! She’s amazing! And we enjoyed every minute we spent creating the storybook wedding flowers for Kasey and Paul.

Katie and Jonathan Huyck take vows at Young’s Vineyard May 28, 2011

Katie Legacy and Jonathan Huyck chose Young’s Vineyard in the quaint town of Plymouth for their wedding and reception. Wow! A mix of country farmhouse and vineyard chic made this wedding a standout. In a ceremony that was both charming and full of warmth, the bride walked from a barn structure at the winery to the groom who stood overlooking the sprawling grape vineyard. Bubbles danced around the couple as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife.

Bouquets of soft pinks, peaches and champagne flowers, stuffed with roses, bells of Ireland, queene anne’s lace, astilbe, dahlias, craspedia and peonies complemented the bride and her maids. At the outdoor reception, round tables were decorated with jars filled with sherbert-colored clusters of dahlias, hyacinths and peonies, mixed with fresh basil and rosemary. And personal pics of the couple dotted the tables, creating a homey feel.

Compliments of Beth Sogaard Catering and Vintage Market, guests were treated to dinner, plus whimsical treats such as country lemonade, peach fizzes, and offered a candy bar overflowing with jars of lemon drops, lollipops, s’mores and candy canes. Yes, they served loads of cupcakes, too!

Later, DJ, Chad Stalzek rocked the vineyard as guests flooded the dance floor. The celebration at the vineyard was spectacular, even though rain fell during both the ceremony and reception. The bride and groom were amazing hosts, keeping guests spirits high despite the periodic showers. What a celebration! Thank goodness Allyson Magda Photography was there to catch all the fun and intimate moments of the day.

Sacramento Bride Magazine caught every minute of Matt & Michelle Forman’s wedding on May 14, including the beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements created by Dawn Roberti Of Natural Flair Custom Floral Design. The magazine documented the couple exchanging vows at Holy Trinity Church in El Dorado Hills and the elegant reception at the bride’s parents’ estate in El Dorado Hills.

The colors of the Forman wedding were stunning: apple green, navy blue and fuschia. Natural Flair followed the bride from the wedding to the reception, where we used a plethora of vibrant flowers to really bring out Michelle’s color palette.

Michelle’s bouquet was a mix of roses, orchids, bells of Ireland, queene anne’s lace and sweet peas. The six bridesmaids carried hand-tied creations of roses, sweet peas and peonies, which really popped against their blue strapless gowns. Of course, the cute little flower girl turned heads, too, while she tossed rose petals.

During both the ceremony and reception, photographer Mariea Rummel was there to preserve every memory. Amber Novey of Platinum Planning orchestrated the day making sure everything went according to plan. At the bride’s parents’ home, the reception unfolded with guests enjoying food created and served by My Girl Executive Catering and the wedding cake baked by Jayne Marie. When it came time to party, Matt Brys of Extreme Productions delivered the tunes and had everyone on the dance floor.

One word to sum up this wedding: FUN! We heard everyone talking about what a great time they had. We enjoyed ourselves, too, creating custom floral designs that fit Michelle’s taste and personality. What could be better?

Lindy and Kenrick Burkholder wed May 7, 2011 at Avio Winery

The setting, Avio Winery in Sutter Creek, was relaxed, yet breathtaking. Lindy and Kenrick took their vows before family and friends May 7, amidst green rolling hills dotted with trees. Glowing in a strapless gown, Lindy clutched a cluster of purple anemones, hand-tied and wrapped in satin. Clad in blue stain dresses, the bridesmaids carried all-white bouquets of anemones and hydrangea blossoms, created by Natural Flair’s Dawn Roberti.

The reception followed at the winery and, as always, Beth Sogaard Catering of Plymouth served up delicious food, displayed beautifully, yet casually to fit the outdoor setting. Chad Stalzer Productions was the DJ who got the bridal party on the dance floor and drew throngs of guests to show their moves. The fun and relaxed vibe of this reception drew guests to let their hair down and truly enjoy. Jamie Bosworth Photography of Portland, Oregon was there to catch every smile.

We loved working on this gardeny array of flowers in all blue, white, purple, magenta and lavender. At the reception, we kept it simple, clustering vases and votives, some filled with anemones, hydrangeas or candles. The result? Soft and dreamy!

DeeAnn and Loran “Lolo” Davis wed at Timber Creek Ballroom in Roseville on April 16, 2011

Timber Creek Ballroom in Roseville was transformed into a sparkling wonderland of hanging crystals, dripping flowers and rhinestone curtains for DeeAnn and Lolo’s wedding day. Darcie Swedelson of A Dazzling Day By Darcie brought together all the special touches to create a nuptual wonderland to fulfill DeeAnn’s vision.

When guests arrived at the ceremony they stepped into a magical setting backdropped with rhinestone beaded curtains (rented from Patty of All Time Event Rentals) to which Natural Flair added hanging rose blossoms. We carried the sparkle and bling to the table centerpieces with tall glass fluted vases filled with dripping crystals and hanging dendrobium orchid blossoms. Atop the vases, a cascading arrangement of flowers flowed lavender, white and purple with dendrobiums, roses, dusty miller, lisianthus, lilacs and stock.

Another special touch to this celebration incorporated German family crests handed down from the groom’s ancestors in Germany. Jessica Cone of Scarlet Invitations worked with A Dazzling Day by Darcie to create replicas of the family crests, which were placed on each table and sprinkled throughout the reception.

Lucky guests were treated to chocolate dipped strawberrries by Capital Confections in addition to the scrumptious cake baked by John at Shelton Cakes. And of course, pretzels were served in a nod to Lolo’s German roots. After the bride and groom had their first dance, guests shook their bootys to tunes by DJ Doug Lavine of Music On The Move.

DeeAnn chose colors blue, purple and lavender and carried a cluster of roses, lilacs, lisianthus, sweet peas, stock, stephanotis with rhinestones dripping from the bouquet. Her tiara, strapless gown and flowing train punctuated the elegance. Swathed in dark blue dresses, the bridesmaids held bouquets of roses, sweet peas, lilacs and lisianthus. Natural Flair invited to design at Flowers Speak To Art

For the second year, the El Dorado Arts Council asked Dawn Roberti of Natural Flair Custom Floral Design to use flowers to design a piece that mimics a work of art at its annual Flowers Speak To Art. Each florist was randomly given a piece of artwork created by a local artist on which to base their floral designs. The works of art were pieces of bricolage, which means to create art from a variety of everyday things that happen to be available.

Dawn was presented with a yard art sculpture made of a wooden wagon filled with glass sculptures. Her task was to recreate the art using flowers. It was a challenge, but Dawn was up for it!

She used a galvanized bucket, glass plates, glass tubes, glass hurricanes and various colored glass to recreate the piece, incorporating wires, branches and flowers to complete the piece. Allium, Iris, pin cushion protea, bells of Ireland, status, croton leaves and ranunculas were arranged in the various containers to recreate the yard art piece.

The result was a beautiful, original work of floral art that resembled the piece created by the artist. Dawn was on hand to explain her floral art piece to visitors at the event. Check out the photo of Dawn’s creation in this post.

For page 142, Dawn created an antique-looking, elegant pomander bouquet full of white carnations and stephanotis, garnished with pearls. Holy Trintiy church in Cameron Park is a gorgeous church and the reception followed at Bella Piazza in Plymouth Amador County. Natural Flair provided personal flowers. The bride carried hand tied bouquet with roses, calla lilies, stephanotis. The bridesmaid bouquets were of all white roses and white calla lilies. X-Sight Photography
