Dawn was presented with a yard art sculpture made of a wooden wagon filled with glass sculptures. Her task was to recreate the art using flowers. It was a challenge, but Dawn was up for it!

She used a galvanized bucket, glass plates, glass tubes, glass hurricanes and various colored glass to recreate the piece, incorporating wires, branches and  flowers to complete the piece. Allium, Iris, pin cushion protea, bells of Ireland, status, croton leaves and ranunculas were arranged in the various containers to recreate the yard art piece.

The result was a beautiful, original work of floral art that resembled the piece created by the artist. Dawn was on hand to explain her floral art piece to visitors at the event. Check out the photo of Dawn’s creation in this post.

The pages of Real Weddings Magazine Summer 2011 issue features an array of Natural Flair bouquets. Check it out now on newsstands! Plus, Real Weddings just blogged about the cover photo shoot for that issue, naming Natural Flair Custom Floral Design as a Real Weddings partner florist at www.blog.realweddingsmag.com. Natural Flair Owner Dawn Roberti had a blast designing four unique hand-tied bouquets for the photo shoot, which took place at Arden Hills Resort Club & Spa in Sacramento.

Natural Flair’s wedding creations are unique
On page 60 of the magazine, you’ll see our gorgeous all-white bouquet of tulips, hyacinths and dusty miller, wrapped in antique satin polka dot ribbon. Turn to page 62 or 150 for a hand-tied creation of lavender roses, variegated lavender and white carnations, purple stock and white jasmine, finished beautifully with silky-soft specialty ribbon. For page 142, Dawn created an antique-looking, elegant pomander bouquet full of white carnations and stephanotis, garnished with pearls. A gardeny all-green, hand-tied design of fuji spider poms, calla lily leaves, bear grass (adorned with gold beads), hanging amaranthus and brunia, wrapped with antique gold paisley satin is featured on page 144. This issue features our gorgeous cover model finalists Shelbie Brassfield, Terra Galvez and Elizabeth Burdick. Each issue, hundreds of real brides enter our cover model contest, and, ultimately, we have to choose just three finalists. We then put these real bride models through their paces on an all day photo shoot at the Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort. Featuring local gowns, local floral designers, local hair and make-up teams and the utterly fantastic local photographer Andrea Price from Andrea’s Images Photography, our cover model photo shoot truly was exhilarating!
